Beautiful vintage handmade soda wash studio pottery plate with artist stamp on base. Copper and earth tones. Perfect Condition.
The soda ash reacts with the silica in the clay body during firing, forming a sodium-silicate glaze that gives the piece a distinctive appearance, often resulting in a glossy, slightly textured surface with variations in colour and sheen.
